
The walk – Gay Pride Parade, Jerusalem, Israel

The first March for Pride and Tolerance took place in 2002., becoming an annual event in Jerusalem. In 2005. an ultra-Orthodox Jews organised a protest when six marchers were stabbed and one died. The same Haredi Jew returned to 2015. Parade and, again, stabbed 6 marchers, one of the victims, a 16-year-old girl, died 3 days later.
Over 10,000 people walked the Parade, protected by more than 2,500 security personnel, due to the sensitive nature of the city of Jerusalem.
